Alexandra is a dancer, choreographer, teacher and movement facilitator whose work has evolved across classical ballet, contemporary dance, yoga and intuitive movement.
Her early training was deeply rooted in classical ballet. At 14, she began training with Tanya Pearson’s Classical Coaching Academy in Sydney, later performing twice at the Sydney Opera House with Tanya Pearson’s students. She received a scholarship to study at the Palucca University of Dance in Dresden, Germany, and went on to perform professionally, receiving a positive review for her solo role as the Spanish Doll in Coppélia.
In Melbourne, Alexandra taught for six years at Hawthorn School of Dance, working with students of all ages across ballet, contemporary, pointe, tap and jazz. Alongside teaching, she performed with Melbourne Dance Theatre, quickly becoming a principal dancer with them and performing both the White and Black Swan in Swan Lake. She later produced Parallel Connections for the Melbourne Fringe Festival, a collaborative work with Michael Pappalardo. This collaboration led to two years dancing and choreographing with Melbourne City Ballet which she helped to found.

Movement & Community
Alongside her dance career, Alexandra became increasingly interested in the relationship between movement, consciousness and the body. She travelled to India to complete a 500-hour Hatha Yoga teacher training, later teaching yoga in Amsterdam at The Conscious Club, including working with yoga teachers themselves. When she first arrived in Golden Bay in 2018, she taught at Anahata Yoga Retreat and continued her studies in classical Hatha and Yoga Nidra.
In 2019, Alexandra made the wholehearted decision to make Golden Bay her home. Choosing a small, rural community meant allowing her professional life to change with her surroundings. Rather than pursuing the structures of a conventional dance career, she began shaping her work around teaching, community and creating opportunities for people to experience dance in more accessible and personal ways.

Creative Practice
She founded a performance collective for amateur adult contemporary dancers, creating a space for people to experience the joy, discipline and connection of making performance work together. Through this collective, she returned to choreographing and producing shows, works and film, rediscovering a part of her creative practice that she intends to return to more fully when her children are older.
As a mother, Alexandra is currently allowing her creative practice to move at a different rhythm. With her second child growing inside her, her focus is presently shared between parenting, teaching and developing the foundations of her next chapter. Larger creative projects are temporarily on hold, but the movement work itself continues to evolve.

Intuitive Movement

In 2026, Alexandra began transforming her Dance of the Elements practice into women’s intuitive movement sessions. Her work is influenced by the teachings of Stefana Serafina and her Deep Body Institute in San Francisco, particularly her approach to embodied awareness and deep healing through the body. Alexandra’s practice remains distinctly elemental, drawing on natural landscapes, cycles, sensation and imagination, while creating space for deeper self-inquiry and embodied healing.
Her work now sits at the meeting point of dance, yoga, nature and the inner landscape. After many years of training bodies to perform, Alexandra is increasingly interested in creating spaces where women can listen to their bodies, move intuitively and reconnect with an inner knowing that does not need to be performed.
She continues to teach dance and movement in Golden Bay, where her practice has become less about pursuing a particular destination and more about creating meaningful movement experiences within the community she has chosen as home.
